Jim is the President of Harrison Concrete,
Inc. He has worked his way up the ladder inside the operation. After beginning
in 1983 driving a concrete mixer and understanding his way around the
transportation of concrete, he moved inside to head up the sales and production
area in 1990. He has gone through technical training in concrete ready mix
design, both at an educational level and through real life experience. Jim
currently designs all of the mixes sold to both the residential and commercial
market. In 1994, Jim became President with all company operations coming under
his wing. He prides himself in being able to design a mix and delivery schedule
to fit the needs of our varied customer base.
Peggy is the Vice-President for corporate
relations. She is active in customer relationships and ensuring that "things
are running smoothly". Peggy started with Harrison Concrete in 1985 and poured
the foundation of the Company's excellent employee benefit programs. She has
technical expertise in human relation skills with our employees and works to
create a sense of teamwork within the organization.
Peggy is involved in many local, regional
and national organizations. A small portion of these include the Ohio Ready
Mixed Concrete Association where she served on their board of directors from
1995 to 1998.She is also a state officer in National Federation of Independent
Businesses. On a local level, Peggy has served in many capacities, including
President of the Western Hamilton County Economic Council and is on the board
of the Business Partnership Coalition of Diamond Oaks.
Bud grew up in the concrete business.
His father, Frank started the business in 1954. Bud has done it all at the
company. His true interests and responsibilities include long range planning
and securing a future for the company in the new millenium. He also works
closely with the production processes inside both the ready mix concrete
operation and HARRISON CONCRETE PRODUCTS, INC., the concrete precast arm of
Harrison Concrete.
Marty is the Chief Financial Officer of
the Harrison Concrete entities. He is responsible for all of the day to day
treasury duties as well as long-term planning for the company. In addition to
the experience his CPA designation bestows, he has attended several schools in
concrete company operations. His main focus is achieving a cost effective,
productive company which can reduce costs to our customers over the long-term.
Sharon is the director of safety and
human resources. Her primary responsibility is to insure a safe working
environment for all individuals who work for us. She is also responsible for
direct day to day workings of the employee benefit programs.
Lee is responsible for the day to day
operations of the concrete plants and the scheduled delivery of concrete to the
job sites. He prides himself in a successfully scheduled day where deliveries
get to the customer on time. Lee has direct involvement with our ready mix
drivers and knows the area well: he started out driving for Harrison Concrete
in 1980 and has worked his way through dispatch to his current management
position.
JW is in charge of residential sales.
His twenty plus years of tenure at the company in areas from driving a mixer
truck, dispatching, and information systems makes him a tremendous asset to
local residential concrete contractors. JW is very knowledgeable on which mixes
will work in different scenarios, which additives will help to meet the
finishing requirements of the contractor. He is also very adept at substitution
of wire mesh with fibers to insure better strength concrete over the long term.
JW is involved in the local homebuilder
associations and has attended many classes on concrete design and
troubleshooting concrete problems. JW also is involved in the computer
operations progress that Harrison Concrete has made over the years, and is
responsible for the electronic and computer operations of our two concrete
plants.
Bill is directly involved in commercial
concrete sales. His involvement ranges from bid review and mix pricing to job
supervision. He is the liason between the contractors and dispatch to insure
that commercial project concrete is delivered accurately and on time. Bill is
involved with local builder associations and maintains strict education
standards for himself in technical concrete specifications.
Bill, on the public side is currently
serving on the city council of Greendale, Indiana, where he resides.
Jim is responsible for the maintenance
of our fleet of concrete mixer trucks,the plants which produce the concrete,
and all yard equipment such as loaders, backhoes and dumptrucks. He has over
twenty years experience in diesel engine repair and over fifteen in the ready
mix concrete industry. Jim supervises five experienced diesel mechanics to
insure that the equipment we use is at the highest level of efficiency and
safety. |
